Every Mountain Peak itinerary begins in the same place: the Southern Suburbs, where Westlake’s old pines and Steenberg’s vineyard fairways sit twenty minutes apart, each with a completely different character. From there, we build out your trip along the coast — Cape Point, the Winelands, and beyond — around your group’s pace, handicap, and appetite for a good lunch.
Westlake Golf Club
Lakeside, Cape Peninsula
Opened in 1932 at the foot of the Silvermine Mountains, Westlake is one of the Cape's best-loved parkland courses — a flatter, more sheltered round lined with towering old pines and umbrella trees. The doglegs reward a straight ball more than a long one, and the mountain backdrop follows you from the 1st tee to the 18th green.
One of South Africa's most-played 18-hole courses, and a warm-up round in the best sense — sheltered, sociable, and forgiving of a slow start.
Steenberg Golf Club
Constantia Valley, Cape Peninsula
Cape Town's oldest farm, working since 1682, is now home to one of its finest golf courses. Designed by Peter Matkovich and opened in 1996, Steenberg weaves through vineyards, pine forest and fynbos-lined streams beneath the Constantiaberg range — with a par-3 14th that carries the largest green in Africa.
Consistently ranked among South Africa's best-conditioned courses — pair the round with lunch at the estate before heading back over the mountain.
